Spirit of Africa will take place on May 11, 2024 at the Armory Food & Event Hall. The festival is part of the Seattle Center Festál series. It is free and open to the public. The festival presents traditional and contemporary music, a fashion show, art, food, marketplace, dance workshops, and more!

What to bring: A yoga mat (if you own one, if not, Meowtropolitan Cafe has some to lend out), comfortable clothes suitable for stretching, water bottle, and your love for cats!

Explore all the fresh produce and local vendors, browse and shop an amazing selection of food trucks, handmade crafts, antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing, furniture and world imports.

The Northwest Folklife Festival is a key annual event bringing up to 250,000 people over four days to the Seattle Center.

FIUTS Covid-19 Advisory & Community Safety Regulations: In alignment with the University of Washington's existing face covering policy and distancing requirements, FIUTS requires all participants to wear a mask for the duration of the event and maintain six feet of distance with others at all times, regardless of their vaccination status. Participants may only remove masks while actively eating or drinking.
